Is the salt from my Jason’s Water Softener going to enter my drinking water?

No, salt will never enter your drinking water. Our water softening systems use salt to create a separate brine solution. That solution that will at times run through your water system. This brine solution removes hard minerals in your water through a process called ion exchange and keeps the softening system operating at maximum efficiency.

Does Jason’s Water offer water softener installations in areas outside of Austin Texas?

Are Jason’s Water softeners NSF certified?

Yes. Jason's Water Systems have been tested by NSF ANSI 44 for Softening up to 25 gallons per minute and NSF ANSI 42 for Filtration up to 400,000 gallons. Jason’s Water Systems have also been certified by the American Society of Sanitary Engineers, and the Uniform Plumbing Code.

What is hard water, and why does it happen?

Hard water is a phenomenon that occurs as a result of minerals like magnesium and calcium accumulating within the water cycle. In San Antonio, our water is considered hard water due to where our water is sourced; the Edwards Aquifer. Within the Edwards Aquifer lies tons of limestone, which then dissolves and leaves dissolved minerals in our water supply. According to the San Antonio Water System, some areas contain denser concentrations of limestone than others, resulting in varying water hardness in different parts of the community. Minerals that are present across the entire San Antonio Water System are magnesium and calcium, which are some of the most common culprits of hard water.

Can I bring my water softener with me if I move?
